MY MUSEUM IS/AND ME
Exhibition / Photography
From January 21st, 2020 to April 30th, 2020
Outdoor exhibition on the museum walls of thirteen photographs by Guillaume Gellert, photographer.
A neighbor of the Museum of Fine Arts, he often came there as a simple visitor, then starting his trade by photographing sculpted works in particular…
So he wanted to participate in the festive Closing Week by capturing in turn the portrait of visitors , in front of or next to their favorite work.
Stop on faces and images through thirteen inspired and inspiring portraits which testify that the hearts of the place and its public always beat in unison.
Housed in the buildings of the former Saint-Denis abbey, the Museum of Fine Arts maintains a prestigious collection and offers visitors a fine selection of its masterpieces: nearly 230 works invite you on a journey of five centuries to through French and European art, from the Renaissance to Art Deco, including painting from the Grand Siècle, Impressionism and the unclassifiable work of the Franco-Japanese artist Léonard Foujita. Over a hundred ceramics are also on display. In preparation for its next renovation, the museum offers small thematic exhibitions several times a year, allowing visitors to discover works from its important collections kept in reserves.
